Iran says interested in further cooperation with GCC, Arab League, AIP

Mottaki, in remarks while meeting Bahrain’s minister of state for foreign affairs Sadeq Baharna, said Iran and the GCC were discussing a free trade agreement.

 

 

Iran is also working on acquiring an observor status in the Arab League as well as boosting cooperation with the Arab Interim Parliament, said Mottaki.

 

Baharna welcomed the regional cooperation between Iran and the six-state GCC bloc, and said such collaboration would help achieve prosperity and stability of peoples in the region.

 

 

Mottaki, talking about Iraq, said Iran has always been an integral part in any resolution of regional problems thus accepted dialogue with the US to end suffering of the Iraqi people to bring about unity, security and stability to their country.
