Dr Safa  headed a delegation representing the Iraqi government and parliament. He briefed Shaikh Abdullah on the situation in his country and the ongoing efforts to restore security and stability there.

Shaikh Abdullah stressed that the Sultanate was keen that Iraq overcame its “ordeal to play its important role in the Arab and regional arena and that prosperity and stability prevail in the country”. Dr Safa said Iraq was grateful for Oman’s concern for the country and its people.
