Addressing the 53rd session of the ISF, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Conference Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu praised the UAE President’s gesture.
He said the ‘generous’ donation reflected Shaikh Khalifa’s commitment to support Islamic projects.
He pointed out that the Zayed Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works was the first such organisation to get membership of the ISF.
He said it is a significant addition to the ISF in view of the Zayed Foundation’s status as one of the world’s leading charity organisations.
