The two-day seminar, organized conjointly with the University of Missouri, reviewed objectively the admirable role the media has played in the lives of Kuwaitis over the years, said the minister.

He lauded Kuwaiti democracy for giving ample space to the local media to express itself both domestically and regionally, having thus graduated a class of journalists well-within the grasp of the tools that help forge good journalistic writing.

The minister affirmed that his ministry was ever willing to work hand-in-hand with KJA toward organizing seminars and forums of the caliber held here over the past two days in the quest to streamline the media sector and its workforce.

On his part, JKA’s secretary Faisal al-Qenaei described the just-ended seminar as the first time such an event attracted about 150 journalists to the Association’s venue.

Guest speaker at the seminar Chair of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, Martha Steffens gave lectures at the seminar on the best and most effective ways of writing journalistic articles.
