In a statement to KUNA on the sidelines of the meeting of Arab special committee tasked with coordinating stances regarding human trafficking and anti-corruption, Al-Othman, who is heading the Kuwaiti delegation to the meeting, said that Kuwait has a "mature" experience on that regard due to its significant contribution to forming the 2006 international treaties.

As for the committee, Al-Othman said it held its meeting today to coordinate stances to be showcased in the upcoming Vienna International Forum on 13-15 February, 2008.

He noted that the aim of the meeting is to counter alleged international accusation that Arab countries were responsible for many human trafficking episodes, an allegation that the committee is working to invalidate.
