"What matters is that Kuwait stays," Sheikh Mohammad told reporters before leaving to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for a meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab Gulf states.

He said the legislative and executive authorities were both keen on preserving security and higher interest of Kuwait.

"This is the political and democratic process of Kuwait … a government will come and a government will go, and a house (parliament) will come and a house will go … what stays is Kuwait," said the top Kuwaiti diplomat.

Sheikh Mohammad said his mission as a "resigned minister" is carrying out the urgent affairs of the ministry, which also means attending Arab and regional meetings.
