The UAE’s signing of the protocol would help to establish a Mideast free of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), stated Al-Fassam, who called on the rest of the states in the region to follow the UAE’s foot-steps.
Kuwait signed the protocol which aimed at bolstering the IAEA’s comprehensive safeguard system which is the cornerstone for the law to prohibit WMD.
