The Deputy PM’s criticism comes as Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Ali Hussaini expressed anger over what he believes were inflammatory comments published about Iranian Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Al-Sabah responded by emphasizing the importance of the freedom of the press in Kuwait. After a meeting between the two in New York, Al-Sabah invited his counterpart to visit Kuwait so that the two might smooth their country’s relations.
