Orders of Kuwaiti PM on facilitating entry to be followed: interior

Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passport Affairs Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah told KUNA, after meeting with heads and officials at the immigration departments, that Sheikh Nasser called for easing procedures while taking into consideration social and security aspects.

 

Sheikh Ahmad added that First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of Defense Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah was keen on tracking the application of the premier’s orders.

 

 

He said that the decision to ban some nationalities from entry into Kuwait were taken according to statistics which showed that people from certain counties committed higher numbers of crimes than others.

 

 

He stressed that it was important that everyone respected the country’s laws, warning that employers who brought in employees from abroad and left them without jobs would be held accountable.

 

Kuwait’s legislations and decisions encourage development plans, and the political leadership is keen on balancing the security and social sides, he emphasized.

 

 

He said the special equipment would be used to save the fingerprints of exiled foreigners at Kuwait International Airport in a about a year.

 

 

The equipment was tested on Wednesday and showed great results, with accuracy reaching 100 percent, he noted.
