The technical labs, which want to be included in Ashghal’s panel, can send their applications. Ashghal will receive the applications till next week, said Khalid Mohammed A Emadi, Manager of QSE.
Al Emadi said that only the laboratories which find their names in the Ashgal panel would be entitled to assess the safety and quality of the construction works carried out in Qatar.
Ashghal had already held an introductory class for the labs during last summer.
And they were given a period of one year to equip themselves to meet the quality standards set by Ashghal, he said.
This year, Ashghal has received applications from ten laboratories. Of them, 8 have been found qualified to be included in the panel.
Ashghal has entrusted an expert team to select eligible laboratories, he said.
