“In Saudi Arabia there are men who remain vigilant to defend its security and the Saudi armed forces will always play their role in protecting the Kingdom’s land, sea and air,” the Saudi Press Agency quoted the prince as telling reporters in Jeddah.
Prince Khaled expressed his hope that the leaders in the region would work for avoiding any military confrontation between Iran and the US.
Asked about joint US and Israeli military maneuvers in the Gulf, the prince said every country has the right to conduct such training programs. “The US naval fleet has been present in the Gulf for quite a long time,” he pointed out.
