Saudi king, Mubarak hold talks on regional issues

The Saudi-Egyptian summit focused on the latest situations in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon, both countries’ positions on such issues and how to further reinforce bilateral ties in diverse domains, the Saudi news agency reported.

The talks were also attended by Saudi Interior Minister Prince Naif bin Abdul-Aziz, Mecca District Governor Prince Khalid al-Faisal, General Intelligence Chief Prince Moqren bin Abdul-Aziz and several other Saudi officials.

Also present in the meeting were Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit, Egyptian Intelligence Chief Omar Suleiman and Presidential Staff Chief Zakaria Azmi The Egyptian leader then left Jeddah after his short visit to Saudi Arabia.
