Officers participating in the combing operation searched and surrounded four districts in the region, setting up checkpoints for anyone entering or leaving.
Most notable among the locations on the campaign’s target list was the raid of a 5-story building in Al-Harrah Al-Sharqiya District belonging to several brothers of terrorist Waleed Al-Raddadi, a prime suspect in the February deaths of four Frenchmen.
Al-Raddadi was killed in a shootout several days ago at an abandoned home in the Al-’Uyoon District.
Police also stormed a rest house on Tabuk Road, a deserted villa near a farm on Airport Road and another, unidentified “ramshackle” house.
