The UAE quota was reduced by the Ministry of Haj in Saudi Arabia, Al Mualla said, adding that the pilgrims would be travelling under 174 Haj tour operators.
The tour operators would be allowed to merge their groups, subject to the approval of the Haj Department, Al Mualla said.
Al Mualla said each Haj tour operator would be held accountable separately by the Haj Department and the UAE.
All the consolidated Haj tour operators should be available in the holy land at the time of the arrival of their respective groups, he said.
