UN protocols on organized crime in Saudi Arabia ok’d

The UN agreement seeks to strengthen the power of governments in combating serious crimes and provides the basis for stronger joint action against drug trafficking and money-laundering. It prevents trafficking in persons, protects and assist the victims of such trafficking and promotes cooperation among states to meet these objectives.
The Cabinet meeting expressed its deep sorrow over the continuing conflict among Palestinian groups Fatah and Hamas, saying the troubles would harm the Palestinian cause.
It urged Palestinian leaders to stand united to protect their national interests and save their people from fresh tragedies.
The Cabinet discussed the outcome of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s visits to Spain and France. “The two countries have expressed their desire to strengthen their ties with Saudi Arabia and work together for promoting peace in the world, especially in the Middle East,” it added.
The meeting authorized the head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation to sign an air transport agreement with Yemen.
